1 John 3:13- "So don't be surprised, dear brothers and sisters, IF THE WORLD HATES YOU."John 3:19-20-"And the judgment is based on this fact: God's light came into the world, but people loved the darkness more than the light, for their actions were evil. All who do evil hate the light and refuse to go near it for fear their sins will be exposed. But those who do what is right come to the light so others can see that they are doing what God wants."

Guess what? If you stand up for what you believe in, the world may hate you. Why? Satan has control over the world, for the world is evil. Those who live in the light of God are not of this world. So, the world will hate them for many reasons, just as God's Word has said.
Galatians 1:10-"Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ."
We all want the approval of people, we are only human after all! But as Christians, we are called to serve God first, even if that means doing something that may lose us a few friends or some approval. Writing this blog was a pretty hard decision for me to make. I post it on facebook, and all my friends can see it on my wall. Yeah, some kids probably make fun of me for it, or think that I'm weird, but I serve God first! It doesn't matter to me if the world hates me-it will soon pass away. God will last forever.
I am trying to spark some thought today with this blog because I haven't found a GREAT verse to do yet. If you have any suggestions, PLEASE either comment, send me an e-mail, or message me on facebook. God is good! He is the source of all strength and courage. Remember that, and measure up!
